CLASSICAL BALLET

Cape Cod Dance Center offers ballet technique classes for dancers age 3 to adults. Our program is divided in eight levels to guarantee each student proper placement based on age and ability.

In addition to receiving a well-rounded ballet education, our goal is inspire students artistically, offer guidance in body alignment and injury prevention and offer advice as they reach a professsional level.

Ballet Schedule Fall 2008:

Pre-Ballet: Thurs. 3:15 to 4pm, Sat. 11 to 11:45am
Ballet 1: Thurs. 4 to 5pm, Sat. 10 to 11am
Ballet 2: Mon. 4 to 5pm
Ballet 3: Tues. 4 to 5pm & Thurs. 5 to 6pm
Ballet 4 A: Wed. 4 to 5:15pm & Fri. 4 to 5:15pm
Ballet 4B: Mon. 5 to 6:30pm & Fri. 5:15 to 6:45
Ballet 4 B pointes: Mon. 6:30 to 7:15pm
Ballet 5 & 6 pointes: Tues. 5 to 6:45pm
Ballet 5 & 6: Wed. 6:15 to 7:45pm, Sat. 1 to 3pm
Adult ballet: Beg./Int.: Thurs. 6 to 7pm


Additional Rehearsals for the Nutcracker will be held Saturdays at 3pm (to be announced)

Requirements: Students in Level 3 are required to attend two classes per week, if they wish to be included in performances. Students in Level 4 are required to attend a minimum of two regular classes per week (not including pointes). Students in Levels 5 and 6 are required to attend a minimum of three classes per week.


Attire: Capezio pink ballet slippers, pink tights, pink short sleeve leotard (pre-ballet), pink or black short sleeve leotard (ballet 1), black leotard (ballet 2, 3,4,5). Ballet 6 and adults are welcome to wear pink or black tights, black or solid color leotard. All ballet students should wear their hair clipped, or in a bun, not to obstruct movement.
