Ballet
Boot Camp
The
Cape Cod Dance Center is welcoming dancers from Russia and Canada for
the “Ballet Boot Camp” from July 27th through the 31st. The
Intensive provides rigorous ballet technique classes, pointes work and
repertoire. The classes will run from 9am to 1:30pm Monday through Friday.
The fee is $300.
The
special week-long intensive is open for students age 13 and up who have
several years experience in ballet and at least 2 years of training on
pointes. Our guests include Cynthia Pigeons who is a soloist with Ballet
Ouest of Montreal. She has danced leading roles with the National Ballet
of Maryland, Danse Sursaut in Sherbrooke, and currently teaches at the
Ballet Classique du Haut-Richelieu.
Also
visiting the cape is Igor Milosserdov who was trained at the Vaganova
Ballet Academy, formerly the Kirov School, in St. Petersburg. He went
on to dance as a soloist with the Kirov Ballet and in the St. Petersburg
Neoclassical Ballet.
