Co-directed by dancer and choreographer Eveline Carle, who currently owns and operates the Cape Cod Dance Center, this show is a community-based professional event that reinterprets traditional conceptions of performance. Also co-directing the project is Antonia Stephens, who currently teaches for the Academy of Performing Arts in Orleans. Ms. Carle and Ms. Stephens were two of the founding members of D.I.R.T.T. Productions, whose inaugural show was held in winter 2003.

Ms. Carle’s choreography has been described as “highly imaginative,” “emotionally expressive” and “poetic.” She studied classical ballet with L’Ecole Superieure de Danse du Quebec in Montreal, and then continued dancing with the internationally acclaimed company, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. Since moving to the United States, she has danced and toured professionally with various troupes around the country, including Boston-based Snappy Dance Theater.

Also staging choreography and dancing for this occasion are Antonia Stephens, who majored in dance at Bennington College and has been teaching, choreographing and performing on the Cape since 2002; JC Stahl, a former professional dancer, who has been seen performing locally with the Cape Cod Dance Center, Mid-Cape ballet, Cape Rep, Studio 878 and the Academy of Performing Arts; and Leah Antonellis, a faculty member at the Cape Cod Dance Center and recent dance graduate from Emerson College. Ms. Carle is delighted to have the following advanced dancers from the Cape Cod Dance Center performing in the show: Meghan Carmichael, Christina Machaby, Angie Hartley, Mariko McNamara, and Nicole Silver, as well as guest artists Naomi Turner and Chris Phillips.

Guitar player and vocalist Rick Lockwood and bass player and vocalist Steve Vaughan of the Earthbound Misfits have been playing on the Cape since spring 2000. This is their first release, which features the song-writing talents of both Lockwood and Vaughan. Vaughan was born in the U.S. but spent most of his life in Britain. At age 15 he began performing in various acts across the U.K. and founded the band "Southside", a blues trio. "Southside" headlined a local musician’s concert on ITV, Anglia Television, London, in the mid 1990's. Lockwood has been performing since age 10. He was a founding member of "Mayfield Stew" which toured southern California extensively in the early ninety's. Lockwood currently owns and operates of The Guitar Shop in Falmouth where he teaches guitar and bass.
